Welcome to The Quilt Guild of the Piney Woods

The Quilt Guild of the Piney Woods is a lively group of quilters who meet to share a love of quilting.  We have recently moved our meeting place to Kurth Memorial Library. The library doesn't officially open until 10 a.m., so it is recommended that you enter through the  solid metal door at the left side of the main entrance if you come before the 10:00 hour. Otherwise, enter through the main glass doors. The conference room is on the left side of the building as you enter.

We have fellowship until about 10, then a brief check-in of guild business, an inspiring show-and-tell and then a scheduled program. Members participate in our bi-annual quilt show held every odd calendar year.  Yearly membership is $20.

Members are invited to participate in our Busy Bee quilting bee that meets once a month. More info at the meetings.

We love quilters no matter how many UFO's you have stuffed in a closet or if you are a beginner and think UFO's have something to do with space travel.  We'd love to meet you and hear all about your latest project!

The Quilt Guild of the Pineywoods has been going strong for years! Like quilters everywhere we come together to share a love of quilting with each other, our friends and family.

If you know a quilter, you know that they take their artistry seriously. If you are lucky enough to be quilt worthy, you may have been gifted with a quilty treasure that keeps the body warm but also warms the heart of the recipient and the maker that will last long after both are gone.

This year we will be honoring the memory of one of our past guild presidents, Suzanne Bell, a creative and talented quilter as well as a delightful and loving friend. Suzanne was supportive of her fellow quilters and was a hard working active guild member, holding down many positions through the years. Be sure to make time to enjoy a special exhibit of both her beautiful traditional and art quilts.

Join us for a showcase of intricate and stunning quilts from talented quilting artists from East Texas. Get inspired, shop unique vendors, buy a chance to win a beautiful quilt, vote for your favorite quilts and connect with fellow quilting enthusiasts. We'd love to meet you there!
